We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Practitioner to join our team at Beechwood College, a specialist residential college for individuals with Autism.
This Band 7/8a role is ideal for a new or recently qualified Clinical Psychologist or a Registered Clinician with further training in psychological therapies suitable for individuals with Autism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialised psychological assessment and therapy to students at Beechwood College
- Work autonomously in accordance with The British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles & Guidelines 2004, HCPC registration policies, and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development of local team policies and procedures to facilitate improvements in service quality
- Supervise and train other professionals and contribute to the training of trainee clinical psychologists
- Utilise specialised research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research
- Essential:
- Doctorate in Clinical/Educational Psychology
- OR Professional Registration in a relevant health profession (Nursing, OT, SALT) plus further training in psychological therapy
- Advanced PBS training
- Postgraduate training in CBT / DBT / ACT / CFT / other therapies adapted for individuals with Autism
- Mental Capacity Act Training
- Desirable:
- Experience of teaching other staff
- Experience in Autism services
- Experience in Learning Disability services
- Working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team
- Attending reviews and case conferences
- Use of SPSS
