Established in North Yorkshire, our client is a renowned freight forwarder providing global services through air, road, and sea transportation. They offer warehouse and distribution facilities from their site, employing a team of 15 professionals.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Executive to strengthen our sales team. As part of a team of four, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships to maximize potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. New business development through telesales and occasional field sales
  2. Key Account Management
  3. Generating and calculating freight quotations/tender documents
  4. Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
  5. Follow-up calls
  6. Managing the sales process through to closure
  7. Developing long-lasting relationships with new clients
  8. Managing existing and new client quotes
  9. Ensuring timely completion of quotes and follow-up to maximize conversion
Requirements
  • Freight forwarding or export sales experience (ideal but not essential as training is provided)
  • Proven Telesales experience
  • Success in calculating and submitting quotes and tender submissions
  • Negotiation skills with clients and/or suppliers
  • Key account management experience with proven success in developing relationships
  • Good administrative skills
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Package and Benefits
  • Working hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £23,000-£25,000 per annum
  • Commission-based OTE: £4,000-£8,000
  • 22 days' holiday
