We are a leading specialist school in Uxbridge, catering to pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
This is an opportunity for someone passionate about SEN education to take on a leading classroom role and support the learning and development of incredible young people as a Specialist SEN Leader.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead small group activities and support learning plans under the direction of the teacher.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to enhance their confidence and independence.
- Provide personal care and support as needed.
- HLTA Qualification is essential.
- At least 3 years of experience working in SEN settings, including experience in a minimum of two schools supporting students with MLD or SLD.
- Confidence and comfort in working with students with SLD, even if your prior experience has focused on MLD.
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks.
- A valid DBS registered on the Update Service is mandatory.
