About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Collections Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at The Very Group. As a key member of our credit risk team, you will play a critical role in developing and deploying models across the credit risk life cycle, utilising a range of data and modelling techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy models across the credit risk life cycle, including application, behaviour, collection, and fraud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop bespoke models to meet those needs.
  • Utilise a range of data and modelling techniques, including traditional statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on credit risk modelling and analytics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing traditional statistical models, including linear and logistic regressions and decision trees.
  • Proficiency in SAS/SQL/Python/R coding for data extraction, manipulation, and modelling.
  • Experience in financial services or banking, with a strong understanding of credit risk and modelling.
  • Highly intellectual and curious mind with a passion for using data to solve problems.
