We are offering Medical Research Council (MRC) funded doctoral training programme (DTP) PhD studentships to support cutting-edge research in various fields, including cancer, neurological diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and global health.

Our interdisciplinary PhD programme is designed to foster whole-organism research, leveraging state-of-the-art computational and experimental methodologies to tackle complex medical challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with industry through iCASE studentships, exploring potential links between academia and the private sector.

As part of our vibrant student community, you will join a dynamic group of researchers for a 4-year study period beginning in September 2025. During your MRes/PhD journey, you will delve into three rotation projects, alongside taught modules and practical training in year one. In years two to four, you will focus on your PhD project, which may be an extension of your rotation project or a new area of exploration.
