Job Title: Senior Policy Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our team at the Department of Health and Social Care. As a Senior Policy Officer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing policies that promote the health and well-being of the UK population.

About the Role

The Senior Policy Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing policies related to trade and health, including negotiating and implementing international agreements.
  • Working closely with stakeholders, including government departments, international partners, and industry experts, to ensure that our policies are effective and meet the needs of the UK population.
  • Providing advice and guidance to senior officials and ministers on trade and health policy issues.
  • Collaborating with other teams within the Department to ensure that our policies are aligned with the Department's overall strategy.
Key Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation, particularly in the areas of trade and health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
