About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roaming Property Manager to provide essential cover for our Property Managers across McCarthy Stone Retirement Living developments in various locations. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and continuity of exceptional service to our homeowners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Step in to manage day-to-day operations at various developments, ensuring smooth running in the absence of the regular Property Manager.
  • Maintain a vibrant and supportive community environment by facilitating events, supporting independent living, and addressing customer needs.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and compliance requirements are met during your cover periods.
  • Work closely with homeowners, suppliers, and internal teams to provide continuity of service and address any issues or concerns.
  • Monitor property maintenance issues and liaise with the appropriate teams to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Support property sales and rentals by promoting the development to potential customers during your cover.
  • Maintain detailed records and handovers for the regular Property Manager upon their return.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a customer-focused role with strong operational management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different developments, managing varying workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with homeowners and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to stay calm in emergency or challenging situations.
  • Experience with IT systems, including Microsoft Office, to manage administrative tasks.
Desirable
  • Experience in property management or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
