About the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Tutor and Trainer to join our team at Pearson. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our learners, helping them to achieve their goals and succeed in their studies.

Job Description

The Tutor and Trainer will be responsible for:

  • Teaching English and Mathematics Functional Skills qualifications at levels 1 and 2, including conducting initial assessments, diagnostic assessments, and administering exams.
  • Managing a caseload of learners, ensuring they complete their qualifications in a timely manner, including organizing course bookings and issuing joining instructions.
  • Ensuring learner e-portfolios are updated with evidence of learning, achievement, feedback, communication attempts, and show the learning plan.

Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching qualification, such as Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLS.
  • A minimum level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills (English and Mathematics) up to level 2.
  • Experience of providing face-to-face and remote support to learners using a range of delivery methods, including the use of technology, such as Zoom.
