Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Harrow. As a key member of our community-based specialist team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with chronic respiratory disease and respiratory failure.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing respiratory complex patient case management, pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen, and primary care education to patients in their own homes, virtually, or in clinic settings.
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-professional team to provide comprehensive respiratory care.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participating in quality assurance and audit activities to ensure the highest standards of care.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Registration as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate education in respiratory physiotherapy or an equivalent combination of degree, short courses, and experience.
  • Experience working with respiratory patients, leading pulmonary rehabilitation programs, and providing physiotherapy-specific interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate self and others.
  • A working knowledge of clinical governance and evidence-based practice.
