We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Central London Community Health Trust. As a key member of our community-based specialist team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with chronic respiratory disease and respiratory failure in the Harrow catchment area.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing respiratory complex patient case management, pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen, and primary care education to patients in their own homes, virtually, or in clinic settings.
- Working collaboratively with a multi-professional team to develop and implement new initiatives and manage change.
- Developing and maintaining team working, communication, and documentation skills.
- Performing and interpreting spirometry, and having a working knowledge of clinical governance and evidence-based practice.
- Providing flexible and adaptable care to meet the needs of patients and the community.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Registered physiotherapist or nurse with current HPC registration.
- Postgraduate level education in respiratory physiotherapy or an equivalent combination of degree, short courses, and experience.
- Experience of working with respiratory patients, leading pulmonary rehabilitation programs, and performing physiotherapy-specific interventions.
- Excellent communication, motivation, and decision-making skills.
- A working knowledge of clinical governance, evidence-based practice, and spirometry.
The successful candidate will be:
- Friendly and approachable with a calm and confident demeanor.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and receptive to feedback and willing to learn and develop.
- Committed to respiratory care and willing to undertake out-of-hours cover and on-call duties on a rotational basis.
- Punctual and reliable with a satisfactory health record and physical ability to perform all aspects of the job.
