Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated professionals to fill the role of Surgical First Assistants. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, with a strong focus on patient safety and care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality support during surgical procedures, utilizing your expertise in medication administration and patient care to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during operations, maintaining a safe and efficient environment
  • Administer medications as required, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines
  • Monitor patients' condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the medical team
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and outcomes
Requirements
  • A valid NMC Pin and completed preceptorship for newly qualified nurses
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Surgical First Assistant
  • A valid right to work in the UK (Sponsorship not provided)
  • Proof of vaccinations/immunity
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service
  • Proof of Mandatory training aligned to the Skills for Health UK CSTF standards
  • Two clinical references
