Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team as a Branch Support Security Officer. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional security services at our client sites in Sheffield and York.
Key Responsibilities- Prevent unauthorized access and monitor alarms to ensure the safety and security of employees, property, and assets.
- Conduct regular security patrols to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring a positive and secure experience.
- Manage keys, locking/unlocking duties, and maintain logbooks to ensure accurate records.
- Investigate fire alarm activations, monitor First Aid equipment, and report potential hazards.
- Switch off unnecessary lights and close windows during patrols to conserve energy and maintain a secure environment.
- Operate security equipment, conduct 'stop and search' procedures, and investigate incidents and suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless and secure experience for all stakeholders.
- Valid SIA Licence
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Over 18 years old
- Right to work in the UK and a five-year checkable employment history
- No current criminal convictions
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Punctuality and reliability
- Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Sensitivity towards and understanding of people with disabilities or special needs
