**About the Role:**

We are recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset. As a Consultant Child Protection Professional, you will lead complex cases and provide expert advice to colleagues. This role involves conducting advanced assessments, representing the service in legal proceedings, and operating with a high degree of professional independence.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and families, excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, and relevant legislation. A competitive salary of approximately £45,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead complex cases and provide expert advice to colleagues.
  • Conduct advanced assessments, including court reports and child permanence records.
  • Represent the service in legal proceedings.
  • Operate with a high degree of professional independence and demonstrate competence through CPD and achievement of appropriate post-qualification awards.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Qualified Social Worker qualification and HCPC Registration.
  • Excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches and relevant legislation.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
