Sales Executive

Job Summary:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and executing new business opportunities in the defined territory. This role will target customer prospects, both new and lapsed, to provide tailored shredding solutions, resulting in increased top-line revenue, customer acquisition, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present and promote the Shred-it service to new and lapsed prospects, identifying opportunities within the defined territory and utilizing the Shred-it sales process to secure new contracts.
- Utilize Salesforce and other company-defined IT systems to effectively manage pipelines, report activity, track sales, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local, strategic, and inside sales colleagues, sales and marketing leadership teams, and regional Operations, Client Services, IT, and other teams to enhance the service offering for new and existing customers.
- Attend internal meetings and trainings, prepared with relevant data on market opportunities, promoting a positive and professional sales attitude to maintain high standards of customer service, security, and environmental consciousness.
- Adhere to Shred-it policies, including the Commercial DOA, Pricing book, SFDC policies, Tender and bidding processes, and standard codes of Ethics and Health and Safety.
- Maintain knowledge of the shredding market in the defined territory, including awareness of competitor activity and new legislation, sharing insights with the team and sales leadership as appropriate.
Requirements:
- High School or equivalent education.
- Preferred education: Associate's or equivalent.
- 0-1 year of experience in sales, preferably in a business-to-business environment.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the shredding industry.
- Must be qualified to work in the UK and have a clean criminal records check.
- University/college education or similar relevant sales experience preferred.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Excellent time management, self-discipline, and organizational skills.
- Energetic, highly motivated, and results-oriented with a positive attitude.
- A strong negotiator with exceptional listening skills.
- Ability to operate under pressure in a high-volume, competitive sales environment.
