Clinical Psychologist in Learning Disabilities Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Merton Integrated Learning Disabilities Team. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of health and social work professionals, providing specialist Clinical Psychology services to adults with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
The post-holder will coordinate the running of the Behaviour Support Service, taking supervisory and line management responsibility for a PBS Practitioner. They will also provide specialist assessment and therapy, psycho-educational work, staff training, and monitoring of caseload and clinical/service outcomes.
Requirements
The post-holder should have clear experience of working as a clinical psychologist with people with learning disabilities, including those whose behaviour creates challenges. They will be HCPC registered and have a person-centred approach to promoting a good quality of life for service users.
What We Offer
The London Borough of Merton offers a competitive salary (comparable to an 8a NHS post) with salary progression after two years, holiday entitlements, and a work pension scheme. The council reimburses one professional subscription per year, and travel costs are reimbursed, with a parking permit provided.
Working Environment
The team follows a hybrid working model (combining office, community, and home-based working). Flexible working options can be considered, with staff based in Merton Civic Centre, minutes away from Morden tube station.
