Clinical Psychologist in Learning Disabilities Specialist

Building a Better Merton Together, our Council plan for a sustainable borough, aims to generate civic pride and become London's first-ever Borough of Sport. As a Clinical Psychologist in our Merton Integrated Learning Disabilities Team, you will work within a truly multi-disciplinary team of health and social work professionals to support adults with learning disabilities.

Main Duties:

  • Provide specialist Clinical Psychology services to service users aged 18 and over with a Learning Disability.
  • Coordinate the running of the Behaviour Support Service (BSS), taking supervisory and line management responsibility for a PBS Practitioner.
  • Take on additional pieces of work from the wider LD psychology caseload.

Key Requirements:

  • Clear experience of working as a clinical psychologist with people with learning disabilities, including those whose behaviour creates challenges.
  • HCPC registration.
