Clinical Psychologist, Learning Disability Services Specialist

An exciting opportunity to provide a qualified clinical psychology service to individuals within the CYPMHS Warrington Service, providing psychological assessment and therapy, offering advice and consultation on individuals' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other non-professionals.
We welcome applicants looking for a Band 7-8a preceptorship development opportunity.
Main Duties- To provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team, based on the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from various sources.
- To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options, taking into account theoretical and therapeutic models, as well as complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes.
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients, providing advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- To act as care coordinator, where appropriate, taking responsibility for initiating planning and reviewing of care plans under enhanced CPA.
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its approved equivalent accredited by the BPS.
- Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
