Community Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Nurse to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to older adults with mental health issues.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment and make a real difference in the lives of our patients. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with other agencies to deliver recovery-focused care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct holistic mental health assessments for older adults, including risk management and identification of needs.
- Develop and implement care plans, working closely with service users and their carers.
- Provide support and guidance to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Participate in ongoing educational and research programs, staying up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- RMN qualification and valid NMC registration.
- Post-registration experience in mental health, with a focus on older adults.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, carers, and colleagues.
