Job Title: Community Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of one year of post-registration clinical experience in mental health to join our friendly and motivated team.

Job Summary:

This role involves a degree of autonomous working and provides an opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of older adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dementia, and varying levels of frailty.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Completing holistic mental health assessments for older adults, including the identification and management of risks to the individual, others, or from others.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans.
  • Supporting service users in maximizing their recovery opportunities.
  • Providing support to the carers of service users.
  • Providing clinical supervision to junior colleagues.
  • Acting as a student Nurse assessor and supervisor.
  • Participating in ongoing educational and research programs.
Requirements:
  • RMN and valid NMC registration.
  • Evidence of post-registration qualification.
  • A practice assessor and supervisor.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Venepucture certificate.
  • ECG training qualification.
