Community Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of one year of post-registration clinical experience in mental health to join our friendly and motivated team.
About the RoleThis role involves a degree of autonomous working and provides an opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of older adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dementia, and varying levels of frailty.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting mental health assessments for older adults, including the identification and management of risks to the individual, others, or from others.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans to support service users in maximizing their recovery opportunities.
- Providing support to the carers of service users and collaborating with other agencies to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care.
- Providing clinical supervision to junior colleagues and acting as a student Nurse assessor and supervisor.
- Participating in ongoing educational and research programs to enhance and develop services.
- RMN and valid NMC registration.
- Evidence of post-registration qualification.
- A practice assessor and supervisor.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality care and recovery-focused health interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and facilitate positive multi-disciplinary working relationships across all service areas.
