Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or a Specialised Psychotherapist to join our Wellbeing Matters Team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is a part-time role at Band 8a, with the possibility of Band 7 for Clinical or Counselling Psychologists.

As a member of our team, you will provide psychological support to individuals, develop and deliver sessions for teams, both online and in-person. This is a well-balanced flexible role, working part-time, with travel between sites and home working. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as vacancies can close early.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of the Specialist Psychological Staff Support Service
  • Provide specialist assessment, formulation, and interventions to individual staff, teams, and managers
  • Direct and supervise junior staff and resources within their area of responsibility and participate in clinical quality assurance and learning programs
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information and advice to staff members and other professionals

Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral qualification in clinical psychology (or equivalent)
  • Registered and accredited with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPC)
  • Eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Chartered Clinical Psychology status
Continuous Professional Development
  • Evidenced post-qualification training and expert knowledge in areas of specialism
  • Clinical supervision training for psychology trainees
Previous Experience
  • At least two years' demonstrable post-qualification experience in multidisciplinary teams and multi-agency environments
  • Experience of managing complex situations, safeguarding, risk management, complaints, and investigations
  • Experience of working with complex caseloads and carrying out clinical audit
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with service users and complex mental health conditions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to empathise, be supportive, and sensitive to the needs of others
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and respond constructively to challenge or resistance
