**Job Title:** Experienced SEMH Support Professional Wanted

**Location:** Wolverhampton, UK

**Salary Range:** £84-£95 per day (inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay)

**About the Role:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our SEMH school as a SEMH Support Professional.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing guidance and support for their social and emotional development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with teachers to support the learning and engagement of students in lessons.
  • Implement personalised behaviour support plans and targeted interventions to help students manage their emotions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, SENCOs, and mental health professionals, to ensure the best outcomes for students.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Experience as a Prison Officer or in a similarly challenging environment.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when working with students with complex needs.
  • A passion for helping young people with SEMH challenges achieve their potential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a flexible, proactive attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
