Highly Experienced Behaviour Support Professional Wanted

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced behaviour support professional to join our team at Protocol Education. This role is ideal for an individual with a background in managing challenging situations, who is passionate about helping young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs overcome barriers to learning and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Behaviour Support: Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Mentoring: Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing guidance and support for their social and emotional development.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Classroom Assistance: Work closely with teachers to support the learning and engagement of students in lessons, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Interventions: Implement personalised behaviour support plans and targeted interventions to help students manage their emotions and develop essential life skills.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, SENCOs, and mental health professionals, to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a similarly challenging environment, such as working with ex-offenders or individuals with complex needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental approach when working with students with complex needs.
- A passion for helping young people with SEMH challenges achieve their potential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a flexible, proactive attitude.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Salary: £84-£95 per day
