About the Role:

We are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Walsall. The successful candidate will work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and provide support to help them manage their behaviour and improve their academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to support the SEMH needs of students
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work or related field (desirable)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs (desirable)
