Job Overview

We are looking for a Community Delivery Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh West Delivery Office, EH12 9PB. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to local residents and businesses.

About the Role

This is a permanent contract position working 40 hours per week, with a variable shift pattern including Sundays on a rota basis. You will be required to work independently, managing your own workload and ensuring timely delivery of packages.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering mail and parcels to customers across the designated area
  • Managing customer interactions and providing excellent customer service
  • Operating a company vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Working as part of a team to achieve operational objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Physical stamina to walk long distances and work outside in varying weather conditions
Salary and Benefits

You will receive a competitive salary of approximately £26,000 per annum, plus overtime and benefits package. This includes:

  • Overtime paid at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate
  • 22.5 days holiday per year, rising with length of service
  • Full uniform provided and access to company pension scheme
