Community Delivery Specialist

We are looking for a Community Delivery Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh West Delivery Office, EH12 9PB. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to local residents and businesses.
About the RoleThis is a permanent contract position working 40 hours per week, with a variable shift pattern including Sundays on a rota basis. You will be required to work independently, managing your own workload and ensuring timely delivery of packages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering mail and parcels to customers across the designated area
- Managing customer interactions and providing excellent customer service
- Operating a company vehicle safely and efficiently
- Working as part of a team to achieve operational objectives
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Physical stamina to walk long distances and work outside in varying weather conditions
You will receive a competitive salary of approximately £26,000 per annum, plus overtime and benefits package. This includes:
- Overtime paid at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate
- 22.5 days holiday per year, rising with length of service
- Full uniform provided and access to company pension scheme
- Lots of opportunities for career development and training
