Commercial Finance Broker Job Description

At Dobson Welch Recruitment Specialists, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Broker to join our team. As a Commercial Finance Broker, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients to purchase, expand or re-finance their business by arranging commercial mortgages.

This is a target-driven position that requires proven experience and knowledge of dealing with commercial mortgages to customers. You will be rewarded with an excellent commission structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date market knowledge to identify appropriate solutions for customers
  • Sourcing and presenting debt facilities to clients
  • Working to fulfill both company and individual business development plans
  • Generating business from the company's database of registered business purchasers and existing operators
  • Creating close working relationships with company colleagues to maximize referral opportunities and reciprocal business
  • Maintaining ongoing contact with prospective clients to ensure our client is foremost in their minds for any business finance opportunity
  • Preparing and submitting quality applications for finance on behalf of clients
  • Identifying and developing relationships with active lending institutions
  • Planning, managing, and executing several ongoing assignments at any one time while ensuring tight deadlines are met
  • Operating in line with FCA Guidelines
  • Maintaining professional expertise through course attendance, reading of financial journals, and further training in line with but not limited to CF CPD requirements
  • Understanding what Treating Customers Fairly means in regard to our client and embedding this fully within the work
