Job Summary:

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEND Casework Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our SEND service, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of EHC Coordinators and ensuring that Education, Health, and Care Annual Reviews are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of EHC Coordinators to deliver high-quality Education, Health, and Care plans for school-age children.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the SEND service.
  • Collaborate with education settings, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of children with SEND are met.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Provide line management and supervision to the team, ensuring that all members are equipped to deliver excellent service outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and SEND Regulations 2014.
  • Proven experience of managing staff and delivering excellent service outcomes in a previous role.
  • Current driving license and access to a car to travel to various work bases and schools.
  • Educated to degree level or have significant experience of working within education.
  • Experience of working well under pressure and being extremely well-organized.
