**Job Description:**

This is a part-time opportunity, working 17.5 hours per week. The role involves:

  • Conducting audits of premises fire risk assessments under the Fire (Scotland) Act
  • Inspecting licensed or registered premises to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Carrying out site surveys and checking fire strategies and plans as required
  • Identifying fire hazards and risks and proposing measures to reduce risks and improve fire safety
  • Issuing fire safety reports and notices, including statistical reports

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • A strong understanding of current fire safety legislation, including the Fire (Scotland) Act and Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations
  • Experience in producing high-quality written reports
  • Ability to use IT effectively for data analysis and presentation
  • Proven experience in recording and processing the results of technical work, such as audits and risk assessments

**Estimated Salary:** £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
