About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Electus Recruitment Solutions. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical development of assigned projects, sub-systems, or components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop concept design solutions with limited information and changing requirements.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to engage across many areas of missile design through a mixture of research and mainstream project work.
  • Propose ideas for future research topics and obtain funding to develop these ideas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of mechanical design, including an appreciation of packaging electronics and thermal considerations. You will also need to be capable of working with, influencing, and negotiating with collaborators across the business.

Requirements:

  • Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on our preferred CAE tools will be given).
  • Wider awareness of other fields such as Structural Design and Low Observability would be beneficial.
