We are seeking highly skilled interpreters to join our team at Language Empire, a leading provider of interpreting and translation services across the UK.
As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work with various clients in diverse settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and another language, possess formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
- CHECKING THE NON-ENGLISH SPEAKERS UNDERSTANDING AFTER EACH SENTENCE
- Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Dealing with confidential information
- Liaising between service users and providers
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered is advantageous
- Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
- Any other interpreting-related qualification
