We are currently seeking an experienced Dental Technology Senior Standards Verifier to join our team of experts in the field of dental technology.

**Job Description:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the assessment outcomes and internal verification processes for a range of Dental Technology qualifications within a Principal Subject Area (PSA). This role requires a deep understanding of national occupational standards and evidence requirements in the sector.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Undertake sampling of candidates' work within defined parameters and rules to verify that assessment outcomes, assessment and internal verification processes meet national occupational standards
  • Hold sector-specific responsibility for interpretation of national occupational standards and evidence requirements
  • Offer specialist advice and support to centres and Standards Verifiers (SV) in relation to the content and interpretation of specifications, assessment and delivery
  • Provide support, advice, guidance, and development to SVs
  • Review SV reports to comment on the maintenance of national standards
  • Identify and escalate issues of adverse standards interpretation
  • Undertake a proactive role in maintaining national standards
  • Edit materials for the standardization of centre assessors, internal verifiers, and lead internal verifiers and centre training as required
  • Develop the content for the training and standardization of SVs
  • Lead and deliver training events to centres and SVs as required

**Salary:** We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Substantial recent experience of external verification of qualifications within the sector
  • Minimum of one academic year's worth of teaching experience: Within the Dental Technology; Within the last 8 years; Since qualifying as a teacher
  • Significant experience in delivering and assessing
  • Registered with the General Dental Council
  • Higher-level assessment and delivery experience across a range of qualifications as relevant to the sector
  • Be an A Grade Associate (from Performance Management monitoring)
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in the field of assessment and delivery of Dental Technology
