Building Technology Specialist

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Building Technology Specialist to join our design team based in Cheshire or Flintshire. This exciting opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding career path with excellent prospects for growth and development.
Job SummaryThis role involves working as part of a dynamic and expanding design team, contributing to a wide range of projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical drawing and design, with proficiency in software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
Your key responsibilities will include preparing and producing accurate structural drawings, supporting 3D modeling and BIM processes, and collaborating with engineers to interpret structural analysis. You will also work closely with other construction professionals to ensure structural designs integrate seamlessly with the overall project.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Structural Technician, preferably within a consulting or contractor environment. A good understanding of current UK structural design codes and building regulations is essential, along with experience with Tekla or other 3D modeling tools being desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and produce accurate structural drawings (plans, sections, details) in accordance with design specifications using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Support the production of 3D models and Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, ensuring models are accurate and adhere to project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret structural analysis and provide design solutions for various building structures.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure structural designs integrate seamlessly with the overall project.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Structural Technician, ideally within a consulting or contractor environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM software.
- Experience with Tekla or other 3D modeling tools is desirable.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
