Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Diamond Light Source. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering complex mechanical projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement creative, innovative, and adaptive solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Produce high-quality engineering designs using CAD and FEA tools.
  • Conduct dynamic and thermal analysis to ensure project feasibility.
  • Manage project files and documentation, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or significant equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD, FEA, and thermal analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
