Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

At Diamond Light Source, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative, innovative, and adaptive solutions for complex mechanical projects.
  • Design and develop engineering specifications, concept designs, and detailed designs for mechanical systems.
  • Lead the production of engineering drawings and 3D models using modern manufacturing methods, including additive manufacturing techniques.
  • Manage project files and documentation, including risk assessments and compliance with directives such as the Machinery Directive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or significant equivalent experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical projects, including design, development, and testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions to stakeholders.
