Your Key Responsibilities:

  • You will greet and receive patients, visitors, and staff in a polite and professional manner.
  • Answering the telephone and relaying accurate messages is also a key part of your responsibilities.
  • Maintaining effective communications between patients, relatives, and the team within the department is crucial.
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communications are maintained is also a key responsibility.
  • Reporting complaints or concerns to the Nurse in charge/shift leader is an important aspect of your role.
  • Ensuring patient notes are up to date and accurately filed is also a key responsibility.
  • Liaising with relevant departments and patients to ensure accurate data in the system is crucial.
  • Booking outpatients' appointments and arranging transport is also a key part of your responsibilities.
  • Ensuring discharge notes are completed and sent to GP's within 24 hours of discharge is an important aspect of your role.
