We are seeking an Undergraduate Intern to join our Research and Development team in Southampton, UK. As a key member of our Heating and Aerosol Mechanics Team, you will play a crucial role in exploiting emerging technologies for the generation of aerosols from both liquid and solid media.

About the Role

This 12-month placement is an excellent opportunity for students working towards an undergraduate degree in Physics or a related subject to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative industrial setting. You will work closely with our team of experts to design and run laboratory experiments, interpret and present results, and deliver recommendations to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver scientific workstreams involving discovery and evaluation of emerging technology for the generation of aerosols
  • Design and commission test rigs with rapid prototyping experts
  • Design experiments and conduct lab-based research
  • Complete a range of physical measurements of emitted aerosol
  • Process data, conduct statistical analysis, and present results, conclusions, and recommendations
