About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Heath Farm School, part of the Outcomes First Group. As a dedicated and compassionate individual, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with complex needs to achieve their full potential.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide educational support to our pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning. You will work closely with our experienced teaching team to develop and implement individualized plans, ensuring that each pupil receives tailored support to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials, lesson plans, and activities, ensuring that they are engaging and tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils with personal care, meal times, and daily routines, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and implement strategies to support pupils with challenging behaviors, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • A calm, engaging, and resilient approach to working with pupils with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other staff members.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and a commitment to promoting their well-being and academic success.
