We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and wants to make a positive impact in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a child with an autism diagnosis in a Reception class.
  • Work with the class teacher to create a fulfilling learning environment for the child.
  • Develop a positive relationship with the child and respond appropriately to their needs.
  • Assist the whole class in integrating and participating in class activities.
  • Simplify tasks to ensure accessibility.
  • Support the child during lunchtimes.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience working with children.
  • Experience in a primary school setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with children with SEND is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to use initiative and proactively handle tasks.

To join Teaching Personnel and complete our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service. We offer full assistance for a new check, costing £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

Upon a successful 20-week probation period, exceptional candidates often go onto contract with the school (terms and conditions apply).
