About the Role

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our client trusts by maintaining key relationships with co-workers and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Labelling and dispensing of medicine supplies to wards and departments, including clinical trial dispensing, using the pharmacy computer system according to dispensary procedures.
  • Providing practical support and advice to allocated team members in relation to managing monthly Dispensary Controlled Drug stock checks, auditing, and correction of levels.
  • Undertaking extemporaneous dispensing, making relevant calculations for the formula, and preparing products according to good Pharmacy Practice.
  • Counselling patients on how to take their medicines safely and warning them of possible side effects.
  • Assisting in ensuring dispensary work is processed accurately, safely, and efficiently, according to procedures to support turnaround key performance indicators.
