The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team in the nuclear sector. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Delivery of nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.
  2. Provide technical leadership and expertise, and take on the role of Technical Lead on specific projects when required.
  3. Conduct concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
  4. Perform analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot as well as producing hand calculations.
  5. Prepare calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, inter-discipline design coordination, and supervision.
  6. Manage project delivery, as well as people management of Senior CS&A Engineers and CS&A Engineers.
Requirements
  1. Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
  2. It would be advantageous but not necessary to have previous experience within the nuclear industry and design for seismic loading.
  3. Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.
