As a Deputy Manager at SGS Care Ltd, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and support to young people in our residential childcare settings.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team, bringing a strong background in residential childcare and excellent leadership and communication skills.

The salary for this role is £38,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including a comprehensive training programme, opportunities for career development, and a contributory pension scheme.

About the Role:

  • To assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that all aspects of care and support are delivered to the highest standards.
  • To lead a small team of Residential and Senior Residential Support Workers, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that they are able to deliver effective care and support to the young people in their care.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, working closely with the Registered Manager and other members of the team to ensure that the needs of each young person are met.
  • To participate in staff supervision and appraisal processes, identifying areas for development and implementing training and development plans as necessary.

Your Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a residential childcare setting, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team of staff.
  • A full driving licence and the ability to travel as required.
