Museum Exhibition Coordinator

The Philadelphia Museum of Art seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the planning and implementation of exhibitions, gallery installations, and special projects. As an integral member of the museum's team, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of projects within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Develop project timelines and budgets, adjusting as necessary to meet scope and timeline requirements.
- Coordinate traveling exhibitions by drafting tour prospectuses, executing contracts, and managing relationships with exhibition partners, venues, artists, and consultants.
- Schedule and lead planning meetings with project teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
You will also be responsible for helping manage the museum's day-to-day exhibition planning calendars, prioritizing gallery rotations, exhibitions, art moves, and special projects while coordinating with cross-departmental teams.
Your Background and Experience- Proven experience in project management, meeting deadlines with multiple dependencies and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and diplomatically with diverse personalities.
- Experience with project budgeting and financial analysis, including knowledge of current museum best practices.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with Asana, The Museum System (TMS), Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, and SharePoint.
This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive salary of $49,400, working 35 hours per week. The position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit and reports to the Director of Exhibition Planning.
