About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Education Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs achieve their full potential.

Academics Ltd is an exceptional specialist school based in Oxford, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for children aged 4-11 with complex needs. Our team of experienced educators and therapists work together to create personalized learning plans that address the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom, promoting academic achievement and social skills development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with complex needs
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, focusing on building confidence, self-esteem, and emotional regulation skills

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 or higher) and experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations, with a focus on de-escalating conflicts and promoting positive behavior

Salary: £80-£90 per day, full-time Mon-Fri 8:30am-4pm
