EDClass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Safeguarding Lead to join our team. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare and safety of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal with Questionnaire Alerts and Safeguarding Alerts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with the Teaching Team and Account Managers to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  • Handle and report child and vulnerable adult protection issues.
  • Update Zoho CRM with accurate and timely information.
  • Conduct regular EDSupport chat checks to ensure safeguarding concerns are addressed.
  • Complete Safeguarding Incident Report Forms for major incidents.
  • Maintain relationships with commissioning schools' DSLs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the Questionnaire and Safeguarding Alerts dashboard.
Requirements
  • English and Maths GCSE A*-C or equivalent.
  • A minimum of a year's experience in a safeguarding role.
  • Confident in using ICT for a range of purposes.
  • DSL Safeguarding qualification (Level 3).
  • Advanced safeguarding certificate (desirable).
  • Multi-agency safeguarding/child protection practice experience within a statutory agency setting.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding legislation (KCSIE).
  • Sound basic knowledge of SEN Code of Practice.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted stages and grading, mental health, EHCP, CAHMS, and SEND.
