About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Safeguarding Lead to join our team at EDClass Ltd. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare and safety of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Alert Management: Manage and respond to safeguarding alerts in a timely and effective manner, ensuring that all processes and policies are adhered to.
  • Safeguarding Incidents: Investigate and report on safeguarding incidents, completing incident report forms accurately and promptly.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with commissioning schools' Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Produce regular reports on safeguarding incidents and relationships with schools, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  • System Management: Update and maintain our CRM system with accurate and timely information, ensuring that all safeguarding data is up-to-date and secure.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our teaching team, account managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective safeguarding practices and communication.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: English and Maths GCSE A*-C or equivalent, DSL Safeguarding qualification (Level 3), and a minimum of a year's experience in a safeguarding role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a high level of self-motivation and resilience.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding legislation, including KCSIE, and experience in working with children, vulnerable learners, and adults at risk.
