Job Title: Deputy SENDCo

Job Summary:

United Learning is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy SENDCo to join our team at Sheffield Springs Academy. As a Deputy SENDCo, you will play a crucial role in supporting the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the provision for pupils with SEND, including promoting high-quality teaching and effective use of resources.
• Provide focused support to students with complex needs, ensuring no student is left behind.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve outcomes for students with SEND.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that all students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.

Requirements:

• Reliable, highly motivated, and self-driven individual with a passion for improving the life chances of all children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Experience of working with students with SEND, with a deep understanding of their needs and requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
