Job Title: Nanofabrication Facility Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Nanofabrication Facility Technician. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the MBE Growth Facility and Fabrication Cleanrooms in the Department of Physics on the University of Cambridge's West Cambridge Site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to the MBE growth reactors in the laboratory
  • Oversee the operation of the 1.5K assessment cryostat in the cryostat laboratory
  • Prepare samples for measurement in the fabrication cleanrooms
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth running of the growth facility
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience of mechanical systems, electronics, and high-precision engineering
  • Ability to work in a small team and contribute to the success of the facility
