Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a National Operations Service and Product Owner. This is a unique opportunity to work in a constantly evolving environment, building great relationships and collaborating with different business areas.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing integration and successful delivery of the theory test service, promoting the definition of standards and overall service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the end-to-end delivery of the service to ensure national consistency and quality.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to discuss changes to standards, monitor improvements, and highlight areas of inconsistency.
  • Work as a team to resolve issues and improve services using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Report on and monitor service performance, identifying trends and risks to consistent provision nationally and reputational damage to DVSA.
  • Ensure the service risk register is maintained and reviewed, escalating national service issues to the National Operations Manager.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product meets business and user needs, supporting the assessment of change and improvements within the product area.
Requirements
  • Experience of working within an environment of change and adjusting to a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience of collaboratively working with others to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying situations, successfully completing work to a high standard even when under pressure.
  • Comfortable challenging and influencing others to contribute to effective decision making, building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
