About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Product to join our Technology leadership team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for transforming Motability Operations into a Product-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate a clear technical product vision that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and market trends.
  • Work closely with the business areas to identify new market opportunities and drive the product roadmap to ensure a competitive advantage.
  • Build out and evolve the Product capability within Motability Operations – working closely with stakeholders from the business, engineering and technology.
  • Incubate and develop Product Owners where they are required and don't currently exist in the business.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing management, ensuring timely and high-quality product releases.
  • Work closely with the engineering and business teams to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct regular product reviews and ensure that product development stays on track and within budget.
  • Own the budget for all tech product teams, leading decision-making on a regular basis to ensure it's invested into the priority areas to achieve Motability Operations' strategy.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure product investments deliver effectively against the company and product objectives and benefits are realised.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a proven track record in product management. You will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior product management role, ideally within the technology industry.
  • Previous experience managing the roadmap of multiple products across organisations.
  • Experience of developing a product capability and associated ways of working in an organisation.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering innovative technology products.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of user-centred design principles and agile product development methodologies.
  • Leadership qualities, including strategic thinking, influencing, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to align product efforts with the company's overall vision and goals.
