About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Children & Youth Practitioner to join our team at Body & Soul Charity. As a key member of our therapeutic group programme, you will work with children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic group sessions to children and young people, using evidence-based interventions to promote emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive and integrated service to families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programme activities, including creative therapies and educational sessions.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the evaluation and improvement of our services.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in a relevant field, such as social work, teaching, or therapy.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.
  • Knowledge of child development and common mental health challenges experienced by young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
